Before you write Does writing to chambers create a retainer? No. A conference request is a request. Engagement begins only when chambers accepts instructions in writing and a fee is agreed. Until then there is no advocate-client relationship and no privilege.
What papers should I send for a first conference? A short note of facts, the last order, the FIR or legal notice if any, and a list of what you hold. PDFs are preferred. Photographs of a few pages are not a brief. Chambers will say if a certified copy or a fuller file is required before a conference is listed.
Are fees published on this site? No. A professional fee is discussed in conference, on the papers and the forum. The chambers does not advertise a tariff, a package, or a result-linked fee.
